A “state-of-the-art” Clubhouse was built, as part of a £1.6 million investment, to improve members’ facilities at the esteemed Royal Hampton Court Palace Golf Club. Keystone Lintels was commissioned by Bratza Associates, who were aware of Keystone’s reputation for outstanding service, product quality and their innovative approach to technical design.
Working in conjunction with the project contractors, Midfern Construction, the technical specification was agreed. Keystone’s solution was to design a flat brick arch set lintel comprising of an insulated steel box section which acts as a load bearing support. This box section is clad with a precision-cut brick slip and bonded to the steel section. Keystone designed, manufactured and delivered the units, direct to site, within the 2 week lead time.
Keystone has developed and patented a brick slip lintel, the “Keystone Arch Set”. This is the only powder-coated, galvanised steel Arch Set with a new patented Integral Key which facilitates a physical bond between the lintel and the brick slip. The Arch Set is not only lightweight but is also a load bearing structure.
