Where the underside of a lintel remains visible above a window or door, soffit cladding provides a simple way to create a cleaner, more consistent finish.

It can be used to conceal the exposed lintel soffit and provide an additional protective layer, making it particularly useful where greater exposure to the external environment needs to be considered.

Correct installation remains important. External wall lintels should be installed with the appropriate damp proof course (DPC) in accordance with the lintel specification and relevant installation guidance.
