The L&M Building is the development centrepiece – and has preserved its unique façade – boasting traditional red brickwork with decorative terracotta detailing. At the centrepiece of the architecture is a stunning clock tower, which rises above the main entrance.

The striking brickwork of the L&M Building makes this historic structure iconic, with the redevelopment using as much from reclaimed sources as possible.

The architect specified Brick Feature Lintels to retain the eclectic appearance and utilised Keyslip from Keystone Lintels, a product solution that can seamlessly combine modern construction methods with historic architecture.

Renowned in the industry for exceptional manufacturing quality and technical support services, Keystone Lintels was appointed to design and manufacture numerous Keyslip Brick Feature Lintels, all uniquely detailed by the exacting Keystone technical team.

A stunning array of Elliptical Arch Lintels feature on the second floor of the L&M Building, and Full Elliptical Arch Lintels are to the East and West elevations on the third floor.

Keyslip Feature Lintels add show-stopping features to any building and are known to seamlessly fuse the characters of old and new. A great match to keep this development in keeping with the industrial heritage of the L&M Building, they are a key focal point on the building and cannot be missed

As part of the reclamation, more than 30 existing stone heads were removed from the original L&M building and supplied to Keystone Lintels. Appreciating the delicacy of the stonework, they were cut and bonded to each lintel in a factory-controlled environment with the utmost care and precision.

The offsite manufacture of these bespoke solutions ensures a high level of quality, detail and consistency, which would be difficult to achieve if produced onsite.
