Brick Feature Lintels

Trinity Court is a purpose-built, 82-bedroom care home in Burton upon Trent, constructed by Wynbrook to provide high-quality residential, dementia and respite care.

Combining contemporary construction with traditional architectural influences, the three-storey development features a series of distinctive arched window openings that enhance the building’s character and complement its brick façade.

Keystone Lintels supplied the complete lintel package for the project, including both standard steel lintels and bespoke arched special lintels.
While the standard lintels provided structural support throughout the building, the bespoke units were engineered to create the architectural detailing that defines the façade.

The varied design required solutions capable of accommodating both conventional openings and project-specific arches, while maintaining the architect’s vision. Working closely with the project team, Keystone Lintels delivered a coordinated solution that balanced structural performance with architectural intent.

Each bespoke arched lintel was finished using factory-cut and bonded brick slips, accurately recreating the appearance of traditional brick arch construction. Produced in a controlled manufacturing environment, the units delivered consistent brick alignment, precise joint detailing and a high-quality finish across every feature opening. Offsite manufacture also reduced the need for complex on-site brick cutting and specialist bricklaying, helping to improve installation efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.

The completed development demonstrates how standard and bespoke steel lintels can work together to support both architectural ambition and construction efficiency. By combining engineering expertise with precision offsite manufacturing, Keystone Lintels helped deliver the traditional character of arched brickwork while providing a practical, buildable solution for a contemporary care home development.

Trinity Court marks another successful collaboration between Keystone Lintels and Wynbrook, reflecting a shared commitment to quality, technical excellence and thoughtful building design.
