Keystone Lintels are delighted to announce that our Hi Therm Sustainability Lintel has been shortlisted as one of the finalists for ‘Best Building Fabric Product’ at the House Builder Product Awards 2014.
The Hi-Therm Sustainability Lintel is an impressive 500% more thermally efficient than a comparable steel lintel. Its unique patented design incorporating steel and glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) means that, when used to support the cavity wall construction, it significantly minimises thermal bridging or heat loss through the wall. This impressive lintel has an extremely low thermal conductivity performance, which contributes towards its Psi value of 0.05 W/m•K.
Using the Hi-Therm lintel within housing projects therefore provides a low-cost and sustainable solution to CO2 reduction, creating a 3-5% improvement over accredited values on a dwelling emission rate calculation within SAP whilst eliminating the need for a damp-proof course (DPC).
The House Builder Product Awards 2014 will take place at Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham on 2nd July.
